What is Udemy LIVE?
Udemy LIVE is the annual global summit for Udemy instructors. The event includes an evening welcome event, followed by a 2-day conference and networking events, that help online instructors learn and build on key skills to support their success on Udemy. Through keynote addresses, breakout sessions, 1-on-1 coaching with subject matter experts, and meeting other instructors, attendees of Udemy LIVE gain inspiration and expertise in content creation, production, marketing, and managing their online courses and students.
When is Udemy LIVE 2019?
Now in its fourth year, Udemy LIVE 2019 will take place in Berlin, Germany from October 11-13, 2019 (Friday through Sunday). The events will begin Friday, October 11 at 5pm with a welcome party, and end on Sunday afternoon, October 13, by 4pm. Please note, there will be no educational content taking place on Friday prior to the welcome party.

Do I have to be a published instructor to attend Udemy LIVE?
No, any person that is an existing instructor or a prospective instructor is welcome to attend Udemy LIVE. However, it is important to note that the content at the event is created primarily to support, and to address the challenges faced by, published online instructors.
I teach on Udemy with a team, but I am the on-camera personality for our courses. Will the event be helpful for others on my team?
Absolutely! We love having instructor teams attend Udemy LIVE. The content is valuable for every instructor, whether they are the on-screen face for the course, or work behind the scenes. Content at Udemy LIVE ranges from improving your on-camera presence, to editing and production techniques, to creating great practical activities for students and responding to student feedback. We are confident that there will be something valuable for every member of your team.
What is included in my Udemy LIVE 2019 ticket?
Included in Udemy LIVE 2019 tickets is access to all conference sessions, breakout sessions, and keynote addresses. Lunch on Saturday and Sunday is included, as is admittance to the welcome reception on Friday evening, and the attendee party on Saturday evening. Lodging is not included in the ticket cost, though we have negotiated discounted rates with select hotels for attendees. Details on lodging options will be available soon. Travel to and from Berlin, and local transportation during Udemy LIVE, are not included.
What if I need to cancel my Udemy LIVE 2019 ticket?
Partial refunds are available for ticket cancellation requests received via email to email@example.com prior to September 1, 2019. Refunds will be given for the ticket cost, less a cancellation fee of $100 to $150, depending on ticket type. Cancellations after September 1, 2019 are non-refundable. Please see the description on each ticket before purchase for cancellation and refund policy details.
Can I bring my children to Udemy LIVE?
Udemy LIVE is a professional event, and therefore not appropriate for attendance by children and youth under the age of 18. We ask that you do not bring children with you to official Udemy LIVE events. If your children accompany you on your visit to Berlin, hotels are often able to coordinate local babysitting services. All Udemy LIVE events require each attendee to register for a ticket for admittance.
Can I bring my spouse, significant other, etc. to Udemy LIVE?
Attendance at all official Udemy LIVE events requires a registration and ticket for admittance. In previous years, we have offered guest tickets for select dinner events for purchase. A gala dinner will not be held at Udemy LIVE 2019, and guest tickets will not be available for other evening events. If you would like to bring a guest to Udemy LIVE, they must purchase a full conference ticket to attend.
I require a VISA to travel to Berlin, Germany for the conference. How can I work with Udemy to obtain one?
Travelers from some countries may require a visa to visit Germany. To verify whether you will need a visa to attend Udemy LIVE, it is recommended that you reach out to your local German consulate or embassy for details. If you are in need of a visa to attend Udemy LIVE, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will provide you with a worksheet to request a formal letter that you can share with your local German embassy to assist in the visa application process.
How do I submit a proposal to speak or present at Udemy LIVE 2019?
